Due to many requests, the Scientific Committee is delighted to announce that the paper submission deadline has been extended to 25 August 2018.


SICMS, organized by Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sriwijaya is a scientific forum for scholars to disseminate their research and share ideas. In 2018, the conference will have theme New Challenges and Research Innovation in Medical and Science for Better Life.

The meeting will be held October 25-27, 2018 in Palembang, Indonesia. The scopes of our conference that will be discussed are:

Keynote Speakers

Robert G. Carroll, Ph.D., earned his Ph.D. in 1981 under the direction of Dr. David F. Opdyke at the Department of Physiology of the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-Newark. Following a 3 year post-doc at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS under the sponsorship of Drs. Thomas E. Lohmeier and Arthur C. Guyton, he moved to East Carolina University in 1984 as an Assistant Professor of Physiology. He is currently Professor of Physiology at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, and holds an administrative appointment as Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs in the Basic Sciences

Prof. dr. Ali Ghanie, SpPD-KKV is an internist-cardiologist, Head of Specialist (Sp2) Study Program of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sriwijaya, Palembang, South Sumatera, Indonesia. Prof. Ali Ghanie is the advisor of the Executive Board of Indonesian Society of Internal Medicine (PB PAPDI) for 2015-2019. He is the appraiser of Competency for Cardiovascular Intervention since 2012 and also serves as a member of the Medical Advisory Council of South Sumatera since 2010.
